About Treasure Tromp
I’m Nicole, a California native currently located in Seattle, Washington. After studying abroad in Australia in 2008, I got bit by the travel bug a few years ago and can’t seem to put my passport down. In fact, I’ve managed to use my passport at least once a year since 2008 and have had the pleasure of visiting roughly 20 countries.

In June of 2013, my then fiancé (now husband) and I moved to Cape Town, South Africa for the remainder of the year. Now we’re treasure hunting in the Pacific Northwest.

I love any excuse to go on a good adventure , especially if it is meticulously planned, but am just as happy diving into an adventure in the form of a good book or television show. Because seriously, my ideal day includes sitting in a hammock with a glass of wine, good book, and listening to Bon Iver.

While I love to use my passport as much as possible, sometime after college I fell in love with hiking and camping. That probably had a lot to do with falling in love with a certain guy. Speaking of which, I recently married my best friend (corny, I know). How I convinced him to fall in love with me is still a mystery. We started planning the wedding from the other side of the world while living in Cape Town – that might have been our most extreme adventure to date.

On a side not, have you seen the cuteness that is the hedgehog? I have seen the light and there is no going back!

Treasure Tromp is a blog about discovering life’s little treasures one adventure at a time. I started Treasure Tromp in the 2012 as a way to capture each treasure, big or small, in my life. From traveling the world to trying a new recipe, I want to make sure that I never miss the beauty of each adventure and encourage you to seek your own treasures as well.  In addition to treasure hunting, you can also find posts about organization, blogging tips, and updates to my 30 by 30 list.

A smart women, Sushi, oysters, beer and wine. Sounds good to me. I grew up in Southern California and miss it everyday. I moved to TN 16+ years ago and always dreamed of returning home to Cali, but I married a good ole TN boy and now I think I am here for ever. At least I can still visit. Enjoy the sun, surf and good food. It really is the best way to live.

Thanks for hosting. I did a sake tasting at a sushi bar and I liked it, although I preferred the plum sake the most. I love the little cups!
