Travel Wish List

Machu Picchu

It has been 11 months since I've used my passport and I'm not sure when I'll get to use it next. Going on a honeymoon after our wedding would be nice but we haven't decided on if we're doing one yet. While the places on my travel wish wish aren't exactly honeymoon suitable, I'd love to get to these places soon:

Travel Wish List

Machu Picchu

Hiking to Mahu Picchu in Peru is pretty much at the top of my list of things to do.

New Zealand

Milford Sound, New Zealand

I've been to New Zealand before, but only to the South Island. I'm dying to revisit that island as well as explore the North Island / Middle Earth.

Because duh.

Northern Lights

I know that I'm not the only person that has viewing the Northern Lights on their bucket list, and Finland is one of the best places to view them.

Serengeti, Tanzania

When Matt and I went to South Africa, we really wanted to visit the Serengeti at some point and witness the wildebeest migration.

  • Oh my gosh, Tanzania! Definitely at the top of my list because I want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. In fact, I wanted to do that for our honeymoon, and my husband said no way haha. But speaking of “honeymoon suitable,” I wouldn’t worry about that at all! We spent our entire honeymoon sweating and trekking around in the jungle and swimming in elephant poop, and it was glorious. You’re already married! Who cares if you smell a little weird? ;)

Stopping by your fun linkup – Happy Thursday!!!

  • All those places would be so amazing to visit! I would love to go to Finland. Have added my link to your link up, yay! :) xxx

  • I am totally adding all of these (Minus NZ which I just visited) to my list- beautiful!

  • South Africa and New Zealand is at the top of my list!

  • All of these places would be amazing, although I have to say I disagree and think any of them would be acceptable for a honeymoon! Unless you want beaches, then maybe not so much. I had a friend actually who hiked Mahu Piccu for her honeymoon and absolutely loved it!

  • Oh man, New Zealand is high on my list as well!!

  • The Serengeti would be incredible! I’m off to Iceland in May and hope to see the northern lights there!

  • Mar

I just got a nat geo book in the mail about Antarctic. I think that’s climbing higher on my list!

  • momfever

I want to travel within, and find some peace and quiet.

  • Love your travel list. Peru and New Zealand are on my list as well. And if you ask my kids, Antarctica is on theirs, but momma doesn’t like all the cold :)

  • I went hiking in Peru this summer. Prepare yourself before you go!

  • WOW what a great wish list. Many of those are on my bucket list along with a few places in Japan. Strangely enough, I’ve decided to focus on Italy and Europe over the next few years until my son is a little older, but now you have me looking for flights!!

Thank you for hosting the linkup!

  • I want to visit those places too! Even if you don’t plan on going on a honeymoon I do recommend taking a “mini-moon” after the wedding just to take a break and relax with each other. The day after I got married, I was really depressed since you’re on this high and after the wedding, you fall back down. I wish we took a couple of days after the wedding to just relax and not go back to reality yet.

  • Now I want to go to Peru and Finland. The one place I have always wanted to visit is Ireland and I am determined to get there one day! Those pictures are absolutely gorgeous!

  • I am happy to report that I can cross NZ & AUS off my list, however, I would totally like to go back some day!

  • I would love to trave to Peru, New Zealand & Finland but I am afraid Antarctica is a wee bit too cold for me ;-)

I have been wanting to go to Tanzania SO bad! I spent a few months volunteering in Ghana, but Tanzania is definitely next on the list! Thanks for the link up!

  • Tanzania is definitely at the top of my list! And the other night I had a dream I was flying over Machu Picchu so I guess that’s a sign I should bump Peru up a little higher on the list, too. :)

  • Tanzania would be amazing!

Bhutan is really high on my list. I dream of hiking to the Tiger’s Nest monastery!

  • Tina

What lovely pics! I’ve always wanted to visit Finland; so really loving that one. Thanks for hosting this link up! T.

  • I just made a travel list recently and everything you just listed was on my list as well!

  • So many places so little time!

  • Any single place is honeymoon suitable! Don’t sell yourself short! And happy planning!

  • All of your destinations are awesome! Top of my wishlist at the moment is South Africa! Beautiful pictures!

  • I love seeing travel wish lists! I have a giant one haha but I am focusing on Europe while we are living here :) I think ALL of those would be awesome for a honeymoon! Like Finland, how romantic would the Northern Lights be? :)

  • Love this list! I want to visit all those places. I especially want to visit Antarctica! I don’t know why it’s so appealing, but it some place I want visit! I was thinking about Peru for my out of country trip this year though.

  • This is an awesome list. We’d wanted to see the wildebeest migration, but since the baby was born we’ve had to rule that one out for the time being.

  • I’m dyingggg to go to Peru and New Zealand!
