November Wedding Checklist: 7 Months To Go!

Wedding Checklist: 7 Months To Go!

Wedding Checklist: 7 Months To Go!
I can't believe that our wedding is 7 months away! We didn't make a ton of progress in October but we did ask some very important people some very important questions!

Tasks Completed in October

Asked Our Officiant. We want our officiant to really know us as a couple so we asked a dear friend of ours. And she said yes! And she's already ordained (thank you, Universal Life Church)!
Asked Our Wedding Party. And they said yes! Actually, most said yes. There's an extremely funny story involving one potential bridesmaid. Well, I think that it is a funny story and I know that she will too in a (hopefully) short amount of time. Lesson of the story: check your mail on a regular basis.

Previously Completed Tasks

Picked A Date. 226 Days until we're married!
Selected the Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, Reception, Brunch Site.
Picked Wedding Colors.
Started Making A Playlist.
Started Wedding Website.
Started Research Wedding Dresses.
Finalized Guest List.
Booked our wedding coordinator.
Booked our photographer.

November Wedding Checklist: 7 Months Before The Wedding

Wedding Dress Shopping. I'm so excited to try on some fancy dresses in a couple of weeks!
Book Caterer. We have an idea of who we want to work with but we just need to commit. I've also been saying this for the last 2 months.
Select / Order  Save-the-Dates. These need to go out ASAP so we reaaaally need to pick ‘the one'.
Research Bridesmaid Dresses. Because I have some fabulous, wonderful women that agreed to help us celebrate and I want them to look good (not that they need any help with that, duh) and wear a dress that they love.

Anything not on this list that you would recommend addressing 7 months before a wedding?

OMG that’s exciting – more power to your wedding countdown!!!

Congrats on getting the officiant and your bridesmaids, not that I am biased. :) I cannot wait to hear about your dress try-on and bridesmaids options.

So exciting!! I’m not sure if its already on your list, or you’re going to forgo it, but I would look into hotel options for guests and transportation for the bridal party too. Depending on where you’re getting married, hotels can book fast. Having a block of rooms reserved well in advance for our out of town guests was a huge relief.

Wow! You’ve been busy! How exciting–seven months to go! Thanks for hosting this link up! T.

  • Wow, you’ve sure been keeping busy, and you still have 7 months to go! I’m one of those people who could not plan a wedding to save my life, since I’m pretty sure I put the pro in procrastinating ;) Heck, I’d probably put off booking a wedding planner until the last minute. But you’re progress is really looking great so far and I’m so excited for you! :)

  • Catherine

Congratulations and good luck with your wedding checklist

  • I still would recommend a videographer.. or looking into them early.. it’s something we weren’t planning on initially but added last minute, and i feel like.. out of everything.. the photography and the video is what lasts.

  • Please tell me we get to hear the funny non-bridesmaid story one day. :) After she has time to think it’s funny, too, of course!
