Wonders of the World

f I won the lottery, I like to think that I'd spend the money in a very responsible way: pay off our student loans (which would take the bulk of the money, probably), invest, buy a house, and travel the world. But if I'm being honest, I'd probably spend the majority of it on travel. Specifically, I'd like to see some of the wonders of the world.

Wonders of the World

Did you know that there are more than just seven wonders of the world? Okay, so maybe I'm the only one that didn't know that. But I was surprised to see this list of different wonders of the world. If I won the lottery, I'd travel to at least one on each list:

  • A few weeks ago I was putting together my bucket list for the next few years living in Australia and googled “Seven Wonders of the World.” Like you, I was so surprised to see that there were way more than seven and split up into different categories. My goal is to travel to every continent (including Antarctica) but for now I’m just hopeful to make it to the Great Barrier Reef within the next year.

  • I’ve wanted to travel Egypt since I was in 4th grade, and Machu Picchu and the Mayan ruins are definitely up there on my list of things to see. I’m more fascinated by the old and ancient things than modern marvels, but I don’t think I’d mind seeing anything on these lists!

  • I only very recently discovered that there is more than just the 7 Wonders of the World. So many different places all looking amazing!

  • I recently discovered how many wonders of the world there are – when I googled the “seven wonders of the world” after Ty and I discussed how it would be a travel dream to see all 7 wonders! There are so many I now realise – my travel wish list is getting soooo loooong! haha

  • I’ve always wanted to visit the Egyptian pyramids and Machu Picchu, and I’ve been to the Mayan ruins!

  • What a great list! There are so many beautiful places on the earth. I need to get my travel butt in gear!

  • Excellent idea Nicole! How cool would it be to say that you’ve seen them all? There’s actually a luxury travel company who offers an organized trip to see all of the world’s wonders for, like, a ba-jillion dollars. You even get to fly around the world in your own private jet!! That’s the one I’d go for!

Have a lovely end to the week!

  • Oh that’s a great plan – what amazing things to see, plus you’d travel around so many parts of this awesome earth! I’ve been to Stonehenge and the Colosseum off the old list, but there are so many more I’d love to go to. I definitely want to add these all to my lotto bucket list ;)

  • Awesome list, that’s the perfect way to spend your winnings :)

  • I also recently discovered there are quite a few wonders lists! I love the ones you picked. Of the ones you’ve listed, I’ve only been to Machu Picchu–and it is a MUST! :) thanks for hosting the link-up! xo

  • Those look like beautiful places to visit! I’d especially like to see Iguazu Falls, it is so pretty.

  • Tina

Loving this ensemble of wonders (I’ve been on the Brooklyn Bridge–someday, maybe some of these other awesome places). Thank you for hosting this fab link up! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

  • Mar

    Yay for the CN Tower!

  • Not bad at all! A friend of mine went to Macchu Picchu last year, during a travel in Peru, Galapagos, and some other close country that I can’t remember, maybe Ecuador. It was amazing to see her photos afterwards. She suffered a lot from altitude sickness but I think she loved getting the opportunity to see it.
Those falls are freaking scary but so beautiful!!

  • I would 100% travel the world if I won the lottery, that is #1 on my list :) Then we would probably start our own brewery.
