It is that time again – beauty box review time! Normally I review my Birchbox and Glossybox subscriptions together, but this month I wanted to separate them. (** = my favorite product(s) in the box)
1. ModelCo Shine Ultra Lip Gloss, in Strip Tease:(full sized) This lip gloss from the Australian brand Model Co really surprised me – for the better! When I first saw the almost bubblegum pink color I was turned off but the color ended up looking great. It left a not too over the top, pinkish color that didn’t feel sticky (a big plus for me). The applicator also comes with a built in mirror, which I LOVE. Overall, I was impressed with this product. $16
2. **Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique – Protect**: Since I have incredibly dry hair, I always look forward to samples of new leave-in conditioners. This one is recommended for those who chemically process or do heat styling with their hair. Ever since I started adding highlights I’ve realized that it is extra important to make sure I am giving my hair enough moisture. This leave-in conditioner smells great and a small amount packs quite a punch. Since it is a little bit on the pricier side I’m not sure if I’d get the full size, but I did love this product. $42
3. Juicy Couture – Juicy Couture Signature Scent: Overall, meh. The insert describes the scent as feminine and sophisticated – agree with the former but not with the latter. It seemed a bit too sweet for me, which I would not describe as sophisticated. $19-89
4. Benefit Cosmetics – it’s potent! eye cream: I was really hoping to like this product. I used it everyday for a couple of weeks and instead of noticing a fade in the circles under my eyes, the skin became extremely sensitive. So sensitive that every time I used the cream the skin began to burn. I then switched to every other day and the sensitivity went away. I think that I’ll be sticking to my other eye cream, thank you very much. $32
5. Emily’s Chocolate – Dark Chocolate Peppermint Holiday Fortunes: Delicious! Each of these cames with a cute little message inside – what a great idea! $6
