Homemade Christmas Gifts (for the non DIYer)

DIY Christmas Gift Ideas | Treasure Tromp

Less than two weeks until Christmas, can you believe it? And I'm just about done with my shopping – a Christmas miracle I tell you. One Christmas miracle that hasn't come true yet? An endless supply of money. So while I wish that I could buy all my friends and family exactly what their hearts desire, it looks like that plan is okay this year (maybe next year). Instead, I'll be creating quite a bit this year and making some little gifts for some of my friends. Here are some of my favorite homemade Christmas gifts this year. These are all pretty easy (for the crafting impaired Like myself) but cute ideas. Note: friends, you may or may not be getting one or two of these in the near future.

Lotion Bars: Yes, lotion bars. Homemade lotion that your friend can take with her without 1) making a messy, and 2) having to find a proper container. Just a little beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil and cute ice tray containers and you're set!
Lemon Salt Scrub: I'm completely obsessed with body scrubs and exfoliants, so this was the first recipe that I looked up. Thankfully LC and the rest of The Beauty Department had me covered and provided this nifty little scrub. The best part is that you probably already have all of the ingredients: sea salt, olive oil and lemon (and a cute little jar to wrap it in).
Vintage Tin Candles: One of my favorite ideas! I'm one of those gals that loves candles. Absolutely love them. While Amanda of Wit and Whistle used vintage jello molds, I'm sure almost any type of mold will do. Besides that, all you need is some microwavable soy candle wax, lavender essential oil, candle wicks.
Hot Chocolate: Who doesn't love hot chocolate? Great question! Very few people (the cray crays). I was so excited to see this super easy recipe for some delicious hot chocolate. Semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate, sugar and unsweetened Butch-process cocoa – BAM, ready to go!
Bath soaks: If and when I buy a house, I am making sure that there is a soaking bathtub – no more of this small tub business. There are few things more relaxing to me than sitting in the tub with a glass of wine, a stack of magazines and a smoothing bath soak. I'm particularly fond of the Oatmeal and Cinnamon soak.
Clay Ornaments: Since my birthday is so close to Christmas, last year I asked for tree ornaments. This year I'm thinking about making them for my close friends.Hopefully my friends won't be too disappointed with my lack of artistic ability.

Are you planning on making any gifts this year? If so, I'd love to hear what crafts you're going to take on!

The tree ornaments (or asking for the same item for a collection in general) for birthday gifts is a great idea.

Thanks for sharing these easy DIYs.
