As the end of summer approaches, I have begun to realize that I really look forward to my Makes Me Smile Mondays. The weekends have consistently been wonderful, making those Mondays (and the work that follows) a little difficult. So I enjoy writing this post, where I remind myself of all the things I have to smile about this Monday.
Why am I smiling this Monday? We had a beautiful wave of hummingbirds on Friday that were so lovely to watch. One would come by, hover in the middle of the yard, check the feeder (which I forgot to refill) and move on before the next one came along. For some reason, watching them reminded me that it is okay to slow down every once in a while and just enjoy being in the moment.
This playlist was playing on repeat this weekend. I heard the first song on the way to Laguna on Thursday and immediately fell in love. Then I found out that Dead Man’s Bones is Ryan Gosling’s band. Yeah, I know – that man is practically perfect.
